La asignatura Assessment tiene un enfoque integral que abarca tanto la teoría como la práctica en la evaluación educativa, específicamente en la enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera. Se fundamenta en la comprensión profunda de las metodologías evaluativas que permiten medir no solo el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, sino también el desarrollo de competencias cognitivas, comunicativas y socioemocionales. Esta asignatura es clave para que los futuros profesionales adquieran las habilidades necesarias para diseñar, implementar y ajustar evaluaciones diagnósticas, formativas y sumativas basadas en los principios de validez, fiabilidad y equidad; asegurando que los instrumentos evaluativos sean pertinentes y alineados con los objetivos curriculares. Además, se fomenta el análisis crítico de las tendencias emergentes en la evaluación educativa, como la evaluación basada en competencias y el uso de tecnologías digitales para el seguimiento y la retroalimentación de los aprendizajes.
La asignatura está organizada en dos unidades:

UNIDAD II: Using Presentations to Assess Students' Performance
La disciplina tiene correspondencia directa y aporta a los objetivos de la planificación nacional establecidos en el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2021 – 2025 y tiene plena concordancia con los niveles de la planificación macro curricular, a partir de los tres ejes de la política pública: Eje 1: Derechos para todos durante toda la vida. Eje 2: Económico. Eje 3: Social. Aporta al cumplimiento del cuarto Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible: Educación de Calidad. Además, se alinea a los ejes de formación (Comunicación, Ética y Valores, Investigación, Tecnologías) del modelo educativo de la Unach.

In your work groups, watch the following video and carry out the activities listed below:
- May 2, 2025 – Write an initial reflection based on the content presented in the video.
- May 3, 2025 – Investigate and record recent developments related to the phenomenon under study, using both journalistic sources and input from people in your immediate environment.
- May 4, 2025 – Meet with your group to share findings. As a team, consolidate the collected information and formulate a collective reflection.
- May 5, 2025 – Review any new updates concerning the case and write a personal reflection on the period during which you have been monitoring the phenomenon.
Each student must document the entire process in an individual journal. The results will be presented and discussed in the next class session.
