Hello! My name is Paulina, and today I want to share my thoughts about education in Finland and how it compares to education in Ecuador.

First of all, I think the education system in Finland is really impressive. It focuses on equality, student well-being, and trust in teachers. One of the things that surprised me the most is that students have very little homework, and creativity and personal development are highly valued. Education in Finland is not just about grades, but about preparing students for life.

Secondly, something that really caught my attention is that students in Finland have more freedom to decide how they want to learn. This helps them feel more motivated and responsible for their own education. Teachers act more like guides than authority figures, and that creates a more relaxed and respectful classroom environment.

Now, if I had the chance to make one change in the Ecuadorian education system based on what I learned about Finland, I would start by reducing the pressure of exams and memorization. Instead, I would encourage more critical thinking, teamwork, and give students more freedom to explore their own interests. I believe this would help students in Ecuador feel more excited about learning and develop useful skills for the future.

To conclude, I think Finland shows us that education can be successful when we trust teachers, respect students’ individuality, and focus on well-being rather than only academic results.
