Using precise language when writing an argument is important if we want to transmit clarity instead of vagueness and ambiguity. This is crucial if we want to avoid misunderstandings which can weaken the reasoning. Furthermore, precise language ensures a clearly understood by all readers and we can persuade them with logical and significance language. For instance, if we want to write about freedom without specifying, we are losing credibility because of the vagueness. However, if we use precise language and write about economic freedom of Ecuador our argument is going to be more persuasive. Moreover, there are different purpose of using a clearly language so that we can use them for construct an argument based in a target we want to reach. In this case precising definitions are used to eliminate vagueness by using detailed language. Theorical definitions is used for providing a deeper understanding about any topic as in philosophy which needs a lot of definitions to make a new one.
Emotive language is a way to manipulate people with some words and it could be for something positive or negative. However, this kind of language is about persuading people even though there is any evidence about the argument. In other words, it triggers emotional responses instead of rational ones. The use of this can be harmful to the person being attacked because it comes hand in hand with the Ad Hominem fallacy, which is basically when the person is attacked and not the argument. Also, it can carry others fallacies like red herring and straw man which are introducing irrelevant information and misrepresenting the argument to attack it. The lack of evidence can carry others fallacies as appeal to ignorance which means the assumption of something that has not been proven yet. Also the fallacy false cause which is making correlation for causation.
