Chronic kidney disease (CRD) in children and adolescents represents a significant public health challenge due to its impact on patients' quality of life and the socio-economic implications it entails. In response to this problem, a Clinical Practice Guide (GPC) has been developed to standardize and improve the care of this population.
This guide highlights some important aspects such as:
- Early detection and diagnosis
- Multidisciplinary approach
- Management of comorbidities
- Education and family support
Through this guide, the authors intend to guide health professionals in the provision of optimal and focused care on patients with this problem.
