Many people believe that you need to drink a lot of milk in order to have stronger bones. Contrary to popular belief, milk is is not the unique option to get this mineral. Although it is a good source, there are many other foods like almonds, broccoli, tofu, and leafy greens that also provide calcium for bone health. However, the industries have promoted this idea, making people think milk is necessary. On the contrary, some studies show that countries with high milk consumption still have high rates of bone fractures. The truth of the matter is that strong bones depend on a combination of nutrients and a healthy lifestyle. The opposite is true when people believe that drinking more milk automatically means better bone health. Even though milk can be part of a healthy diet, it is not a miracle drink, and relying on it alone is not enough to keep your bones strong.
