Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is celebrated according to the lunar calendar and lasts for 15 days. It’s a vibrant holiday filled with family reunions, special foods, dances, fireworks, and traditions like giving red envelopes for good luck. Each year is linked to one of the 12 zodiac animals, adding cultural meaning to the festivities. Celebrated not only in China but also in many countries worldwide with Chinese communities, it’s a joyful time that welcomes new beginnings and honors rich traditions.
