Teaching grammar inductively means letting students discover grammar rules on their own by looking at examples. Instead of explaining the rules first, students see how sentences are made and figure out the patterns.

For example, after reading sentences like "She eats an apple" and "He eats a banana," students might notice that "eats" shows something happening right now and use that rule for new sentences.
