Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Jaramijó, a small coastal town located in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. It is a hidden gem that offers peace, natural beauty, and a deep connection with the local fishing culture. The first thing that caught my attention was the calm and clear sea. Unlike other crowded beaches, Jaramijó has a quiet coastline where you can relax, swim, and enjoy the sound of the waves. The sunsets there are unforgettable—orange and pink colors paint the sky as fishermen return with their boats.
One of the most interesting experiences was visiting the port, where we saw how local fishermen clean and sell their catch of the day. We also tried delicious seafood dishes, like ceviche and fried fish, freshly made with ingredients from the sea.
