Person correlation is when analyzing two continous variables with normal distribution. This test measures both stregth and direction of a linear realtionship. In my short experience, pearson works well when looking at connections between study hours and exam scores , as long as both variables follow a normal distribution. I find spearman´s rho more appropriate when working with ordinal data or when variables don´t meet the normality assumption. this test measures the strength of association betweeen the ranks of variables. I would use this to analyze the reationship between customer satisfaction ratings and likelihood of repeat purchases. Chic square testing is what I use for categorical dara, as it determines if there´s a signigicant association between nominal cariables. For instance, I might apply this to evalute whether gender realtes to brands preferences. I ´ve learned thar verifying assumptions is crucial before applying thes tests. In my practice, I ´ve see how choosinf incorrectly can lead to flawed conclusions when normality or meansurement level assumptions aren´t met.
