When I prepare for Speaking Task 4, I take notes on the concepts from the reading and the examples from the lecture, or record some essential ideas from the audio when I struggle to understand the reading.  I use phrases like “The passage explains that…” and “The professor adds that…” to connect both sources. Then, I explain how the examples support the main idea.
