I believe that understanding this interaction between the oral and the written is fundamental because in the learning process, many ideas are often integrated not only from written resources, but also from diverse type of them. A clear example is our classes, many of our teachers expand or contradict ideas found it in assigned readings and audios but if we are not able to recognize these relationships, key points may be lost or misundertand the material which could cause a low academic performance and als a misinformation among students.
