It is important for university students to establish the connection between a reading and a lecture because it helps us learn more effectively. From my point of view, this skill allows us to identify, analyze, and make sense of different types of content, especially when the ideas are complex. For example, in a reading presented by our professor last week about cognitive dissonance, I identified the concept that it is crucial to understand the topic. However, when I listened to the lecture, I was able to understand better since examples were provided related to the topic from the reading.
