Understanding the connection between written and spoken information is essential for university students because it reflects real academic communication. In lectures, professors often explain or expand on readings with examples or additional context that students won’t find in the written material.

For example, in English B1, we had to read an article about healthy habits. In class, the teacher gave a short lecture about the same topic but used simpler words and gave an example of her own daily routine. That helped me understand the article much better and also gave me ideas for my writing task. Without listening to her, I wouldn’t have known how to use some of the vocabulary in context
