On the TOEFL, I chose option A, but it was incorrect. The correct answer was option C.
The question asked what teachers tend to do when they reflect on their classes. In the passage, it said something like, “Teachers often focus on judging what happened rather than carefully analyzing the reasons.” I thought this meant that they were trying to solve the problem quickly, so I chose A. But in reality, it meant that they didn't take the time to think about the causes, and that's what option C indicates.
So my mistake was not understanding the meaning clearly. I read the sentence too fast, but I didn't argue well what I meant.
