The Day I Didn’t Join the Navy

At first, joining the Navy seemed like the perfect plan. I had dreamed about it for months: the discipline, the adventure, the challenge. I imagined myself wearing the uniform, proudly, serving my country. I began to prepare myself, both physically and mentally. I got up early every day, trained hard and studied everything I could about life in the military.

Then came the day of the exam and the interview. I was nervous, but confident. I had worked hard. However, things didn't go as he expected. During the physical fitness test, I started to get dizzy. Maybe it was the pressure, maybe I was trying too hard? I'm still not sure. Afterwards, the interview was a bit rushed and I left with a weird feeling in my stomach.

Ultimately, I can say that I am grateful for the experience, even if it didn't go as I had planned. Sometimes, the doors that close are the ones that lead us to better places.
