Using clear and precise language is essential for arguments to be understood correctly and avoid confusion. Different types of definitions, such as lexical, theoretical, and persuasive definitions, allow us to establish precisely what we are referring to, which helps everyone involved share a common understanding of key terms. Emotionally charged language can distort reasoning by appealing to feelings rather than logic. For example, claiming someone is guilty without evidence is highly unlikely because the truth is unknown. This type of expression can lead to common errors such as jumping to conclusions without sufficient evidence or assuming causal relationships that do not exist.
